We had the pleasure of collaborating with Wild Moon Distillers, an award-winning Welsh producer of premium craft spirits, we created two distinctive logo designs inspired by Welsh heritage, folklore and the natural world. From the intricate botanical details of Wild Moon to the mysterious character of Welsh Witch, each identity was carefully crafted to tell its own story while sharing a common creative spirit.
The challenge was to create two distinctive logos that captured the individuality of Wild Moon and Welsh Witch while establishing a visual connection between the brands.
Both identities needed to reflect the distillery’s Welsh roots and its inspiration from folklore, mythology and nature. The designs also had to balance intricate decorative artwork with strong, recognisable typography, creating logos that would remain memorable across different applications.
For Wild Moon, we developed an ornate circular identity inspired by traditional botanical illustration. Flowing leaves, delicate flowers and decorative flourishes surround expressive, custom-styled lettering, creating a rich and distinctive composition. A palette of deep blue, muted green and warm cream gives the design a timeless, handcrafted quality.
The Welsh Witch logo takes a different approach, drawing inspiration from the mystery of Welsh folklore. A striking female profile is incorporated into a sweeping crescent moon, framing the bold, characterful typography. The flowing shapes and intricate detailing give the identity a sense of movement and intrigue.
Although visually different, both logos share an appreciation for decorative illustration, expressive lettering and storytelling. Each has its own personality while remaining connected through a considered approach to design.
The result is two distinctive visual identities, each with its own character and story.
